The humble musings and adventures of our family

Easter

We had a 3 day weekend for Easter and spent it in Harrisonburg with family. It was surprisingly warm this year for it being the end of March, so we were able to make lots of fun trips to the park and have Easter egg hunts.

Juliana is so daring, brave, and fearless at the park. Jumping off things, climbing up structures, etc. I'm trying to encourage it, especially the upper body strength activities like swinging on rings, since I think that will only get more difficult as she gets bigger. Jumping off things I give a warning about the infinite ways she could possibly hurt herself and then let her figure it out. Going to this park has also become synonymous with making sure Pop is coming with his camera to take her picture ;-)

Henley really is a happy baby, but she also has such an expressive face and inquisitive nature.

Henley really enjoyed Caitlin & Evan's dog Graham. She would squeal and yell whenever she saw him and he gave her lots of yummy kisses.

Henley started crawling right before Easter, so almost 7 months old. She had been frustrated for the month prior where it was obvious she wanted to go somewhere but the only thing she could do was push herself backwards. Crawling made her much happier (and I remember someone else being the same way? ;-)

Juliana loved hunting for Easter eggs. She then spent the rest of the afternoon hiding eggs for everyone else to find. She would direct them a lot, I think it's the "teacher" in her? Or maybe just her bossy nature ;-)

The Easter bunny visited and brought the girls matching dresses and white shoes. These were a big hit. Well, Henley didn't have a clue what was going on, so Juliana had enough enthusiasm for both of them.

See how excited they were to be matching and taking a picture??! ;-)
